Medicare Compliance Review of Princeton Baptist Medical Center for Calendar Years 2010 and 2011

Princeton Baptist Medical Center (Princeton), located in Birmingham, Alabama, complied with Medicare billing requirements for 117 of the 139 inpatient and outpatient claims we reviewed. However, Princeton did not fully comply with Medicare billing requirements for the remaining 22 claims, resulting in overpayments of approximately $114,000. On the basis of our sample results, we estimated that Princeton received at least $471,000 in overpayments from Medicare.
