University of Wisconsin-Madison Claimed Allowable Costs Under Recovery Act Grants

Of the $412,000 in Recovery Act funds awarded University of Wisconsin-Madison and covered by our review, we determined that the claims were allowable under the terms of the grants and applicable Federal regulations. However, the grantee claimed Federal reimbursement for equipment costs that were significantly rebudgeted between budget categories and did not receive prior approval for equipment with a purchase price exceeding $25,000.
