Wisconsin Physicians Service Insurance Corporation (WPS), a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) contractor, overstated the Medicare segment pension assets by $2.3 million for the period of January 1, 1989, to January 1, 2008. WPS administered Medicare Part A and Part B operations under cost reimbursement contracts with CMS.
