Review of Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Event Data for Schedule II Drugs at Hawaii Medical Service Association

Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) had adequate controls to prevent refills and unallowable partial fills of Schedule II drugs. However, HMSA did not have adequate controls to ensure the accuracy of the Prescription Drug Event records submitted for Schedule II drugs as required by Federal regulations.
