Parkland Health and Hospital System (Parkland Hospital) (operating in Texas) claimed Medicare reimbursement for hospital outpatient dental services that did not comply with Medicare requirements. Of the 100 dental services in our stratified random sample, 98 were not claimed in accordance with Medicare requirements, resulting in an estimated overpayment of $744,000 during the period January 1, 2010, through December 31, 2011.
