Medicare overpaid some fiscal year (FY) 2008 and 2009 claims that did not comply with Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility transfer regulations. TrailBlazer Health Enterprises, LLC, the Medicare administrative contractor for Jurisdiction 4, incorrectly paid 73 transfer claims as discharges. As a result, Medicare overpaid 30 facilities by $385,000 for FYs 2008 and 2009.
