Woburn Dialysis, operating in Massachussets, did not always comply with Medicare end-stage renal disease prospective payment system billing requirements for the judgmentally sampled beneficiary-months in our review. These errors occurred primarily because Woburn Dialysis did not have adequate controls to comply with certain Medicare requirements for the selected services. The findings did not result in a material financial impact.
