Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia Did Not Claim Some Allowable Medicare Pension Costs for Fiscal Years 2006 Through 2009

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia (BCBSGA), a terminated Medicare contractor, did not claim $72,000 of allowable Medicare pension costs for fiscal years 2006 through 2009. BCBSGA did not claim these allowable Medicare pension costs primarily because it based its claim for Medicare reimbursement on an amount that did not comply with the provisions of Cost Accounting Standards 412 and 413.
