Anthem Health Plans of Maine, Inc., Did Not Claim Some Allowable Medicare Pension Costs for Fiscal Years 2003 Through 2005

Anthem Health Plans of Maine, Inc. (Anthem Maine), a Medicare contractor, did not claim $853,000 of allowable Medicare pension costs for Medicare reimbursement for fiscal years (FY) 2003 through 2005. Anthem Maine did not claim these allowable Medicare pension costs primarily because it incorrectly calculated the Cost Accounting Standards pension costs for FYs 2003 through 2005.
