HHS-OIG Advisory Opinion Process: Five Things You Need to Know
One of the responsibilities of the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General is to issue advisory opinions regarding the application of certain fraud and abuse laws that impact the health care community. An HHS-OIG advisory opinion is a legal opinion issued by OIG to one or more requesting parties about the application of OIG's fraud and abuse authorities to the party’s existing or proposed business arrangement.
