Verde Valley Ambulance Company Agreed to Pay $40,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services Rendered by an Individual that Lacked Proper Credentials
After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Verde Valley Ambulance Company (VVAC), Cottonwood, Arizona, agreed to pay $40,058.15 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that VVAC billed Federal health care programs for the services of a paramedic who did not possess proper credentials. Specifically, the paramedic did not possess the appropriate Arizona state certification.
