Sutter Health Agreed to Pay $515,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Paying Remuneration in the Form of Free Management and Administrative Services
After they self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Sutter Health, Sutter Bay Hospitals, and The Surgery Center of Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, LLC, (collectively, “Sutter Health”), California, agreed to pay $515,829.88 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Sutter Health paid remuneration to a surgery center in the form of free management and administrative services.
