Strata Pathology Services Agreed to Pay $100,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Paying Improper Remuneration in the Form of Free Access to Systems
After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Strata Pathology Services (Strata), Lexington, Massachusetts, agreed to pay $100,000 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Strata paid remuneration to a physician practice in the form of free access to its Laboratory Information Systems that the physician practice used for reporting the physician practice’s professional component of histopathology testing.
