After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, St. Luke's Hospital of Duluth (St. Luke's), Duluth, Minnesota, agreed to pay $214,661.78 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that St. Luke's paid remuneration to a referring orthopedic physician practice in the form of free information technology services and without a written agreement in place for the information technology services.
