South Coast Retina Center Agreed to Pay $609,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Paying Remuneration in the Form of Above Fair Market Value Space, Equipment and Staff Lease Payments

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Carson, McBeath, and Boswell, LLC d/b/a South Coast Retina Center (SCRC), California, agreed to pay $609,750 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that SCRC paid remuneration to a physician group in the form of above fair market value space, equipment, and staff lease payments.
