SBS Therapy Centers, Cherry Hill CORF, and Washington Township CORF, Agreed to Pay $500,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Therapy Services that Were Not Provided as Claimed

After they self-disclosed conduct to OIG, SBS Therapy Centers, LLC, Cherry Hill CORF, LLC, and Washington Township CORF, LLC (collectively, “the CORFs”), New Jersey, agreed to pay $500,000 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that the CORFs submitted claims for physical, occupational, and respiratory therapy services under CPT codes corresponding with direct one-on-one provider therapy, where the therapists did not have one-on-one contact with the patient for the entire time period billed and was instead simultaneously treating other patients during that time.
