Riverside Health System Agreed to Pay $788,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Therapy Services Not Provided as Claimed
After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Riverside Healthcare Association, Inc. t/a Riverside Health System (Riverside), Virginia, agreed to pay $788,535 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Riverside submitted false or fraudulent claims to TRICARE for: (1) professional services provided by active duty military physicians; (2) services provided by Physical Therapy Assistants and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants in the Acute Care Division, and (3) services provided by Physical Therapy Assistants and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants in the Lifelong Health Division.
