Patricia Perez Agreed to Be Excluded for 7 Years for Allegedly Paying Improper Remuneration
On January 4, 2024, Patricia Perez (Perez), Los Angeles, California, agreed to be excluded from participation in all Federal health care programs for seven years under 42 U.S.C. 1320a-7(b)(7). OIG’s investigation revealed that Perez paid remuneration to individuals in the form of checks in violation of the Anti-Kickback Statute. OIG’s Office of Investigations and Office of Counsel to the Inspector General, represented by Senior Counsels Gregory Becker and Jennifer Leonardis, collaborated to achieve this resolution.
