After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Palos Community Hospital (PCH), Palos Heights, Illinois, agreed to pay $129,216.44 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that PCH submitted claims for services provided by an unlicensed nurse and an unlicensed speech language pathologist. Single damages were calculated as the full salary and benefits paid to the individuals during the period they worked without a valid license.
