Montana Health System Pays IA Stipulated Penalty
On September 10, 2019, Kalispell Regional Healthcare System, Kalispell Regional Medical Center, Inc., HealthCenter Northwest, LLC, and Northwest Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, LLC (collectively, "KRHS"), paid a stipulated penalty of $65,000 for failing to comply with certain CIA requirements. Specifically, KRHS: (1) failed to conduct Board Member training within 90 days after the CIA effective date for six of its Board members; and (2) falsely certified that it was in compliance with all the requirements of the CIA.
