Milton Man Sentenced to a Total of Five Years in the House of Corrections and Ordered to Pay Restitution for Practicing Dentistry Without A License, Illegally Prescribing Controlled Substances, and Medicaid Fraud

BOSTON — The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) announced today that Fritz Gabriel, 71, of Milton, has been sentenced to two consecutive 2 ½-year sentences in the House of Correction in connection with a scheme to defraud MassHealth, the state’s Medicaid program, illegally prescribe controlled substances and practice dentistry without a license. After an eight-day jury trial in Suffolk Superior Court, on February 17, 2026, Gabriel was convicted on one count of Medicaid False Claims, one count of Larceny Over $1,200, one count of Unlicensed Practice of Dentistry, and one count of Illegally Prescribing Controlled Substances.
