Las Vegas Surgical Associates Agreed to Pay $20,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Ablation Procedures that Misrepresented Dates of Service or Were Upcoded

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Las Vegas Surgical Associates, LLP (LVSA), Las Vegas, Nevada, agreed to pay $20,000 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that LVSA submitted claims for one of its providers that misrepresented the date(s) of service for ablation procedures, and/or upcoded claims for these services.
