Laboratory Alliance of Central New York Agreed to Pay $50,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Paying Remuneration in the Form of Below Fair Market Value for Services
After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Laboratory Alliance of Central New York, LLC (LACNY), New York, agreed to pay $50,000 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that LACNY provided remuneration to a family medical practice (the Practice) and 206 individuals in the form of dehydration, re-cut, and waste disposal services not covered by a Laboratory Services Agreement between LACNY and the Practice, and for which LACNY charged the Practice less than fair market value.
