Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department Agreed to Pay $167,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services Provided by Unlicensed Individuals

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, City of Jacksonville d/b/a Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD), Jacksonville, Florida, agreed to pay $167,111.31 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that JFRD submitted claims for services provided by unlicensed paramedics and emergency medicine technicians.
