Glens Falls Hospital Agreed to Pay $204,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services that Did Not Meet Coverage Requirements

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Glens Falls Hospital (GFH), Glens Falls, New York, agreed to pay $204,499.50 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that GFH submitted false claims to Medicare and Medicaid for Transcarotid Artery Revascularization procedures performed at GFH using DRG Codes 035 and 036, where evidence does not substantiate that the procedures were performed as required by applicable coverage requirements.
