Falanda Shelton Agreed to Be Excluded for 7 Years for Allegedly Paying Improper Remuneration
On December 31, 2024, in connection with the resolution of her criminal lability, Falanda Shelton (Shelton), Tucker, Georgia, agreed to be excluded for a period of seven years under 42 U.S.C. 1320a-7(b)(7). The investigation revealed and OIG alleged that Shelton paid remuneration to marketers for patient leads and then knowingly presented to Medicare claims for durable medical equipment that she knew or should have known were medically unnecessary.
