After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Emerald Care Center Claremore (Emerald), Claremore, Oklahoma, agreed to pay $116,031 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Emerald submitted claims for services provided by an unlicensed registered nurse. Single damages were calculated as the full salary and benefits paid to the nurse during the period they worked without a valid license.
