Dr. Sergio Sokol and Affiliated Practices Agreed to Pay $398,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Medically Unnecessary Services

On December 19, 2025, Dr. Sergio Sokol, MD, Five Towns Heart Imaging Medical P.C., All Borough Medical Solution, P.C., and Hewlett Cardiology Medical P.C. (collectively, "Dr. Sokol"), doing business in Cedarhurst and Astoria, New York, entered into a $398,622.40 settlement agreement with OIG.  The settlement agreement resolves allegations that Dr. Sokol submitted claims for medically unnecessary services.
