After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Dermatology Consultants, PA (Dermatology Consultants), Florida, agreed to pay $20,000 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Dermatology Consultants improperly billed Medicare for services provided by mid-level practitioners under a physician’s provider number when the Medicare requirements for billing incident to a physician’s professional services were not met.
