Consulate Health Care of Port Charlotte Agreed to Pay $14,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services by an Unlicensed Nurse

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Port Charlotte Facility Operations, LLC d/b/a Consulate Health Care of Port Charlotte (Port Charlotte), Florida, agreed to pay $14,817.24 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Port Charlotte submitted claims to Federal health care programs for services provided by an individual when she did not possess the necessary license to perform her duties as a Registered Nurse.
