Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Medical Group Agreed to Pay $373,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Radiology Services that Lacked Proper Supervision

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Medical Group (CHLAMG), California, agreed to pay $373,715.40 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that CHLAMG submitted claims for radiology services performed by a physician that were not provided as claimed because the radiology images were reviewed, and the radiology reports were prepared, by residents without appropriate supervision and review by the physician.
