Attorney General James Uthmeier Announces Arrest Of Home Services Provider For Defrauding Florida Taxpayers

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Attorney General James Uthmeier's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, with the assistance of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, announced the arrest of the owner of Amirah Healthcare LLC, a Medicaid-funded home and community services provider. According to the law enforcement investigation, Juantavis Lavonte Hudson submitted claims to Medicaid for services that were never rendered, causing a loss to Florida Medicaid of more than $50,000.
