Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Agreed to Pay $2.4 Million for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Paying Remuneration in the Form of Free or Below Fair Market Value Space, Equipment, and Personnel

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Sacred Heart Health System, Inc. d/b/a Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola (Sacred Heart), Florida, agreed to pay $2,418,056.73 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Sacred Heart paid remuneration to a physician group in the form of free or below fair market value space, equipment, and personnel.
