After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Altarum Institute (Altarum), Michigan, agreed to pay $262,881 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that a former employee of Altarum reported inaccurate time and effort spent working on Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality awards and falsely documented clinic interaction data for use in an evaluation study.
