National Public Policy Requirements

Age Discrimination Act of 1975
Prohibits discrimination on the basis of age in any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. 42 U.S.C. 6101-6107

Americans with Disabilities Act
Prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in employment, transportation, public accommodation, communications, and governmental activities. 42 U.S.C. 12101 et seq.

Civil Rights Act of 1964
Prohibit discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or age in hiring, promoting, firing, setting wages, testing, training, apprenticeship, and all other terms and conditions of employment. 42 U.S.C. 2000d et seq.

Cloning of Human Beings Ban

Education Amendments of 1972

Faith Based Organizations
Religious organizations are eligible, on the same basis as any other organization, to participate in any Department program for which they are otherwise eligible. Seat Belt Use

Text Messaging while Driving
