HHS-OIG offers a CSV download of active OIG exclusions that can be used on your local computer or to populate the database program of your choice.

Working with the LEIE files
It is important to understand the nature of the LEIE files and decide the best strategy for your organization. We suggest reviewing the Getting Started section, and then doing the following:
- Download the LEIE Database to setup your local system for searches.
- Pick one of the following strategies each month to keep your local database up-to-date. Either,
• Download the latest full database file, OR
• Append your information by applying the monthly supplement files.
Please read the LEIE Quick Tips & Instructions if you are new to the LEIE or you wish to improve the efficiency of your searches.
The Privacy Act prohibits the distribution of SSNs so regardless of your exact process, you'll need to use the Online Search to verify specific individuals and entities.
LEIE Database Download
The LEIE Database CSV file contains the entire dataset of all exclusions in effect. Every month, this file is replaced with the most current version of the complete database.
- Individuals and entities who have been reinstated are removed from this file.
- If you download the LEIE database each month, do NOT use the Monthly Supplement Files.
3-2026 Updated LEIE Database (CSV)
Database Record Layout (PDF) - Defines the different fields contained within the LEIE Downloadable Database and how many characters are in each field.
LEIE files include all actions taken during the prior month. For example, if the update date is December, the Database Download file contains all exclusions through the end of November. The Supplement files contains exclusions and reinstatement that occurred during the month of November.
Latest Monthly Supplements
When maintaining a local version of the database, you can use these files to manually add new exclusions and remove reinstated entities to update your database so it reflects the status as of the month indicated in the filename.
For the most accurate and complete data, OIG recommends downloading the updated LEIE Database rather than relying solely on these monthly incremental files. Supplement files contain actions for a single month only – they do NOT include the full database.

Profile Corrections
Changes made to the excluded individual or entity's profile, such as a change of address, etc. Do NOT use this file to verify exclusions.

Supplements Archive
OIG only archives monthly supplement files for the previous 12 months. Older information is not available on the website or via phone call to Exclusions staff although the Downloadable LEIE gives users the latest information on excluded individuals or entities.

Fixing problems with your LEIE entry
If you have an issue with a specific entry in the database, such as errors in the records, etc., please send your email to exclusions@oig.hhs.gov.
