Winchester Radiologists Agreed to Pay $1.6 Million for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Diagnostic Services Ineligible for Reimbursement
After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Winchester Radiologists, PC (Winchester), Virginia, agreed to pay $1,673,415 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Winchester submitted claims to Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare and Veteran's Administration for non-diagnostic surgical and invasive procedures that were performed by a radiologist practitioner assistant at two hospitals and their outpatient centers and not eligible for reimbursement.
