Vault Medical Services Agreed to Pay $412,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for COVID-19 Testing Services Not Provided as Claimed

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Vault Medical Services, PA (Vault), Florida, agreed to pay $412,923.75 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Vault submitted claims to Medicare and the Health Resources and Services Administration’s COVID-19 Uninsured Program for testing services using HCPCS Code G2012 without providing the requisite medical discussion or “virtual check-in” pursuant to coverage criteria.
