United Scripts Agreed to Pay $1.2 Million for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law Submitting Claims with Improper Prior Authorization Forms

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, United Scripts LTC, LLC (United Scripts), Missouri, agreed to pay $1,258,146.24 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that United Scripts submitted unauthorized prior authorization forms to Federal health care program payors, which were subsequently relied upon by United Scripts when seeking payment for prescription drug claims.
