Texas Center for Infectious Disease Associates Agreed to Pay $609,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Overbilling for Drugs
After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Texas Center for Infectious Disease Associates (TCIDA), Texas, agreed to pay $609,579.93 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that TCIDA: (1) billed Medicare Part D for the entire vial of certain drugs to particular patients when in fact, the patients had only been dispensed part of the vial of the drug; and (2) overbilled Medicare Part D for dispensed doses.
