Tarrytown Expocare Agreed to Pay $555,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Dispensing Medication Without Proper Authorization and for Quantities Greater Than Prescribed

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Tarrytown Expocare LLC (Tarrytown), Texas, agreed to pay $555,292.91 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Tarrytown dispensed, and claimed for reimbursement, certain prescription maintenance medications to new patients without the proper authorization. Also, for certain maintenance medications, Tarrytown dispensed, and claimed for reimbursement, dosages in excess of the amount prescribed.
