After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Tarpon Interventional Pain & Spine Care (Tarpon), Texas, agreed to pay $21,106.95 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Tarpon submitted claims for physician services when the services had, in fact, been provided by a nurse practitioner.
