After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Southern Maryland Medical Group, LLC (SMMG), Maryland, agreed to pay $198,396.83 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that SMMG submitted claims to Medicare for automatic nervous system testing that were not medically necessary.
