Skilled Nursing Facilities Agreed to Pay $1.5 Million for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Employing Excluded Individuals
On May 29, 2025, Sundance Creek Post Acute, Jurupa Hills Post Acute, Redwood Cove Healthcare Center, Houston Transitional Care, Norwood Towers Post Acute, Stoney Point Healthcare, San Diego Post Acute, Crystal Ridge Care Center, Concord Post Acute, Balboa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Escondido Post Acute, Crystal Cove Care Center, Huntington Valley Healthcare Center, Napa Post Acute, Sunnyvale Post Acute Center, Trellis Centennial, Mirage Post Acute, Aviara Healthcare, and Westview Healthcare Center (collectively, “the facilities”), entered into a $1,565,374.11 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that the facilities employed individuals that they knew or should have known were excluded from participation in Federal health care programs.
