Sasha Cahill and Integrated Care Agreed to Be Excluded for 3 Years for Paying and Receiving Improper Remuneration

On November 22, 2022, in connection with the resolution of their False Claims Act liability, Sasha Cahill and Integrated Care, LLC (collectively, “Cahill and Integrated Care”), Knoxville, Tennessee, agreed to be excluded under 42 U.S.C. 1320a-7(b)(7) for 3 years. The investigation revealed and OIG alleged that: (1) Cahill and Integrated Care paid remuneration to medical practices in the form of free medical assistants and reduced cost medical software to induce the ordering of genetics testing panels which were not medically necessary; and (2) Cahill and Integrated Care received remuneration from laboratories in the form of payments for arranging for these referrals.
