Sagent Pharmaceuticals Agreed to Pay $175,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Failing to Submit Timely Pricing Data
On April 20, 2023, Sagent Pharmaceuticals (Sagent), Schaumburg, Illinois, entered into a $175,000 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that Sagent failed to submit timely certified quarterly Average Sales Price (ASP) data to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Specifically, OIG alleged that Sagent failed to submit timely certified ASP data to CMS for all of the calendar quarters from the second quarter of 2020 through the third quarter of 2022.
