Rock River Healthcare Agreed to Pay $38,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Employing an Excluded Individual
On October 31, 2022, Rock River Healthcare (RRH), Rockford, Illinois, entered into a $38,478.24 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that RRH employed an individual who was excluded from participating in any Federal health care program. OIG's investigation revealed that the excluded individual, a charge nurse, provided items or services that were billed to Federal health care programs. Deputy Branch Chief Nicole Caucci represented OIG.
