Quality Healthcare Management Agreed to Pay $159,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Non-Covered Services
On May 17, 2022, Quality Healthcare Management, Inc. (QHM), New York, New York, entered into a $159,711.92 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that QHM submitted claims to Medicare for specimen validity testing (SVT) in conjunction with claims for urine drug testing when SVT was a non-covered service. OIG's Office of Audit Services and Office of Counsel to the Inspector General, represented by Senior Counsels Gregory Becker and Andrea Treese Berlin with the assistance of Paralegal Specialist Jennifer Hilton, collaborated to achieve this resolution.
