Priyanshu1 and Shopsmart Pharmacy Agreed to Pay $400,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Prescriptions Without Sufficient Stock

After they self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Priyanshu1 LLC and Priyansul, LLC d/b/a Shopsmart Pharmacy (collectively, “Shopsmart”), New Jersey, agreed to pay $400,401.25 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Shopsmart submitted claims for medications and diabetic testing supplies when it had insufficient stock to support the claims by including National Drug Codes when it dispensed medications and failing to reverse claims for medications that patients did not receive.
