Pennsylvania Physician Agrees to Voluntary Exclusion
On March 26, 2018, Stephen Latman (Latman), a physician in Reading, Pennsylvania, agreed to be excluded from participation in all Federal health care programs for a period of 10 years under 42 U.S.C. § 1320a-7(b)(6)(B). OIG alleged that Latman issued prescriptions for opioids to patients that were substantially in excess of the needs of those patients and failed to meet the professionally recognized standards of care.
